Island Kids is a fun time of games, bible study, and singing set around a theme. Our primary focus through all we do is to help kids learn, love, and live the Word of God, to know and practice biblical prayer, and to understand, believe, and share the good news of Jesus.
Parent Questions
We have a greeter at the desk when students and parents arrive. If it’s your first time with us, there will be a registration form to fill out and your child will be added to our check-in system. Once in the system all you need to check in is your phone number and personalized name tags and a pick-up tag will be printed for you.
We will occasionally have light snacks and drinks (typically water). On special occasions, we have pizza, cupcakes, or other fun treats!
Parent forms are filled out at the beginning of each calendar school year, as well as whenever a new child arrives. Any special needs or allergies are noted in these forms. All children are welcome at Island Kids!
We have an extensive security system with cameras inside and outside of our children’s building. We only use one entrance/exit during regular activities and personalized pick-up tags are given at checkin.
We require a contact number for your child. If we need to contact you, we will first text and then call.
All of our Bible Fellowship Groups use “Explore the Bible” curriculum from Lifeway Publishing. This series focuses on specific books of the Bible and ties in archaeology and history to help immerse the kids into what it was like during the time of the book being studied.
Our library has several books available. We also have work to have a good support team built into our other ministries. Our pastors are also available as needed. Follow this link to visit our parent resource page.
Throughout the year we have several opportunities outside of our regular weekly activities for children to build relationships and engage in the Word. Periodically there is a kid/family night event centered around fun activities. Yearly events include: Vacation Bible School, Fall festival, Children’s camp, etc…
Is this your first Sunday with us?
